This label is not used on any products except coffee. The registered trademark and logo identify coffee whose sale contributes 25 cents per pound to the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center research and conservation programs. These coffees are both shade-grown and organic.
Beantrees sells only shade-grown, certified organic coffees. However, we do not put a "Bird FriendlyŽ" label on our bags because we do not contribute an additional .25 per pound to the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center.

Because of the lack of integration
between the various methods of
certification, Beantrees employs
only the three most consistent and
most stringently monitored coffee
certifications: USDA, QAI,
and FAIR TRADE.
